The KU School of Medicine in collaboration with UMKC SOM and Theater departments, and the Kansas City Art Institute presents the “What if” series of the Arts + Medicine program to bring together learners from different perspectives to explore the intersection of Art & Medicine.
We are excited to present our session “Music in Medicine: How Music Adds Meaning to Our Lives”. Participants are encouraged to give some thought in advance of their favorite piece of music or a piece that has been particularly meaningful in their life. Drs. Martin and Munro will lead off with examples of their own and the audience will then be invited to participate by sharing theirs. Any genre of music is acceptable, ideally the piece can be accessed on YouTube to allow it to be shared easily with the entire group.
Please RSVP at the link below if you will be able to join us on Monday, February 17th from 5:30-7:00 pm at Diastole Scholars’ Center on the campus of UMKC School of Medicine (2501 Holmes St.)
