Theodore and the Girls: A Murder Mystery

The day before Mrs. Chubb's discharge, Theodore Baldwin experienced similar symptoms. A 56-year-old obese man, Theodore complained that abdominal tenderness began Oct. 4th, and the gradual development of weakness and pain in both lower legs followed. The next day he had noticed burning and tingling sensations in both feet and sometimes in his fingers. On Oct. 11th he noted that the hair on his head, and elsewhere on his body, was falling out. He was admitted to the hospital by his doctor. An outwardly avuncular man under most circumstances, he was grumpy and uncommunicative with the floor nurses.
