Books
Journals
Journal articles are indexed with the most specific terms appropriate to the subject matter of the article, using the MeSH (Medical Subject Headings) of the National Library of Medicine. Terms for the anatomy of the eye are in the A9.371 tree, terms for eye physiology are in the G11 tree, and terms for eye diseases are in the C11 tree. For example, "glaucoma" is an eye disease term but "intraocular pressure" is an eye physiology term. Consider also such terms as "eye abnormalites" or "eye/abnormalities," "eye injuries" or "eye/injuries," drug terms such as "miotics" (to contract the pupil), "mydriatics" (to dilate the pupil), and "ophthalmic solutions," and specialty terms such as "ophthalmology" and "optometry."
