The diaries kept by the CMLs during the grant period show how questions developed:
- Wed. Aug. 30, 1972. Patient rounds: what are urography contrast media effects on urine specific gravity (Dr. W. S.)
- Same day: performed MEDLINE search and manual search of texts.
- Thur. Aug. 31, 1972. Prepared report on effects of IVP dye on urine specific gravity.
- Fri. Sep. 1, 1972. Presented report to Green Unit on IVP dyes increasing urine specific gravity; gave answer and explained technique.
- Thur. Sep. 7, 1972. Lunch with Dr. W. S.--he "mentioned that I earned my salary by report on IVP dyes and urine sp gr."
