Pediatric Radiology

The Pediatric Radiology Fellowship Program at Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics offers a one-year fellowship position sponsored by the University of Missouri-Kansas City, which is approved and accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The program meets or exceeds all requirements for Pediatric Radiology training, leading to certificate of added qualification (CAQ) eligibility by the American Board of Radiology. The mission of the training program is to develop well-trained pediatric radiologists capable of performing excellent clinical radiology with confidence and a desire to serve and improve the profession. The fellowship program creates and maintains an environment in which the pediatric radiology fellow receives the highest quality of teaching in the imaging approach and radiographic findings of pediatric diseases. Participating fellows are involved in academic endeavors, as well as supervision and teaching of residents. Neuroradiology

The Department of Radiology at Saint Luke’s Hospital plans to begin its accredited Neuroradiology/Neurointerventional fellowship program in July ’08. Applicants may apply for a one year fellowship in neuroradiology (adult and pediatric brain, ENT and spine imaging with experience in neuroangiography) or neurointerventional imaging. Fellows who chose to do so, may complete both years of the fellowship program. The program will meet or exceed all requirements for neuroradiology training, leading to certificate of added qualification (CAQ) eligibility by the American Board of Radiology. Fellows will develop skills allowing them to perform all neuroradiology procedures with confidence in both a clinical and an academic environment. A high quality teaching environment will be maintained and the fellow will participate in academic activities in addition to having responsibilities for resident supervision and teaching.
