On behalf of the faculty and residents of UMKC, welcome to the UMKC School of Medicine Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program.
The ACGME accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency at UMKC is a well rounded, dynamic categorical program with an integrated clinical year allowing residents to rotate in radiology 7 months of the PGY1 year. To meet the changing American Board of Radiology exam design, the PGY1-PGY5 years are organized in a flexible manner. While residents are required to complete a minimum 36 months of core rotations, they are also allowed between 9 and 12 months of electives. The electives are meant to encourage development of area(s) interest, research and/or preliminary preparation for fellowship training.
At UMKC, we provide a supportive educational environment where residents will develop a firm foundation in diagnostic radiology that will allow them to excel in clinical or academic practice. Further, we are committed to encouraging the individual interests of each resident, providing them with mentoring and whatever assistance may be needed to help them achieve their educational and academic goals.
Please visit the UMKC residents’ website for more detailed daily information and schedules at the following link: http://www.umkcradres.org/
Thank you for your interest in the UMKC Diagnostic Radiology Residency.
