DERMATOLOGIC IMAGE DATABASE PROJECT http://www.rrze.uni-erlangen.de/docs/FAU/fakultaet/med/kli/derma/bilddb/db.htm

The objective of this project is to create a WWW dermatologic image database which aides in teaching and diagosis. Sample images of the "disease" atopic dermatitis are currently offerred. Users can make image database queries using diagnoses. The database will contain 700 images in February of 1995.

This is an information resource for central nervous system imaging which integrates clinical information with MR, CT, and nuclear medicine images. The atlas project is made possible by the Departments of Radiology and Neurology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, the Countway Library of Medicine, Digital Equipment Corporation, and the American Academy of Neurology.

It consists of three components: (1) Information about Slice of Life, including its mission statements; current projects; and workshop information; (2) Links to an ftp site (mentioned above) containing demos of Slice of Life software; and (3) the Slice of Life Sampler, consisting of digitized public domain images from the Slice of Life Videodisc. Using Mosaic's forms capability, the Sampler will allow users to search a database and find ] appropriate images. The Slice of Life Sampler is currently under development.

These images were captured during routine gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures performed in the UT Bowld Hospital,Memphis,Tennessee, Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Laboratory. This digital gastrointestinal endoscopy image database is a test project of The Division of Gastroenterology and the Memphis Educational Computer Connectivity Alliance(MECCA).

VISIBLE HUMAN PROJECT - NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH HTTP://www.nlm.nih.gov/extramural_research.dir/visible_human.html

It is a compilation of slides of slices of the human (male) body each approximately 1mm thick., together with MRI and CT tomography images at the same slices. It contains some sample images and also on how to get the complete data set. It is made available by the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and the National Library of Medicine. The complete resource requires 15 gigabytes of computer memory.

MEDICAL IMAGING NETWORKED CONSORTIUM (MINC)

This site is currently being used by clinicians and researchers to beta-test several digital consultation software packages that have been developed at the Dept. of Pathology, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. For the present time, feel free to view our growing library of public medical images. In the near future we will grant public access to our relational databases of pictorial data related to molecular biology, cytology, and clinical pathology. If you are interested in getting some general 3-D datasets, you may find them in NCSA anonymous ftp server: ftp.ncsa.uiuc.edu (141.142.20.50), directory /HDF - there are some softwares, and you may find example files among them - or its mirror site opus.ncsa.uiuc.edu (141.142.103.18), directory /pub/dist/HDF/examples/files. These are HDF files. If you don't know this format, you will also find some information about it there. Another anonymous ftp server which provides 3-D medical datasets is wuerl.wustl.edu (128.252.118.3), directory /pub/acr-nema. These ones are ACR-Nema files.
