Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism Fellowship

Thank you for your interest in the Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism fellowship program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). This is a two-year program designed to provide comprehensive clinical training in endocrinology.  Graduates of the program are expected to excel as well-rounded physicians who are prepared to provide compassionate, clinical care of patients with a wide range of endocrine and metabolic conditions. The program offers training and experience in both quality improvement and clinical research.

The fellowship is primarily located at two training sites: Truman Medical Center (TMC) and Hellman & Rosen Endocrine Associates. TMC is a safety-net hospital co-located on the UMKC Hospital Hill health sciences campus and provides an urban, academic medical center setting. Hellman & Rosen Endocrine Associates is a busy, multidisciplinary, private endocrinology practice located only a few miles from TMC.

Together with training experiences at other affiliated hospitals, there is experience with patients across a diverse spectrum of age, racial and ethnic background, socioeconomic status, gender, and clinical conditions in both inpatient and ambulatory settings.
