Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Awards
Presented by The Arnold P. Gold Foundation

The UMKC School of Medicine is participating in the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Awards presented by The Arnold P. Gold Foundation. These awards will honor one graduating year six medical student and one faculty member each with a $1,000 cash award and a commemorative plaque for exemplifying outstanding humanism in medicine.

Participation in the awards program is an honor in itself. The School of Medicine is one of more than 80 medical schools throughout the country participating in the annual Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Awards presented by The Arnold P. Gold Foundation. The awards are designed to promote the integration of humanism in the delivery of care to patients and their families and spur dialogue, debate and activities related to graduating scientifically excellent as well as compassionate physicians.

Award winners will be selected from nominations submitted by faculty members and medical students based on criteria printed on the nomination form.

To submit a nomination for the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Awards presented by The Arnold P. Gold Foundation:

Print off the nomination form for medical student and/or faculty. Complete the form, noting that nominations must also include a brief statement no longer than one page describing the nominee's qualifications.
